⚙️ New Feature: Inbox Reprocessing for Rescued Spam Submissions
December 22, 2025New
We’ve shipped Inbox Reprocessing, a safer way to recover legitimate leads that were initially marked as spam. When you move a spam submission into the inbox, Basin can now intelligently reprocess it, re-run webhooks, and optionally resend key emails—without weakening your spam filters.
What’s New?
- Inbox Reprocessing controls under
Forms → [Your Form] → Emails → Mailer Settings - Optional re-triggering of:
- Notification emails
- Autoresponse emails
- Confirmation (GDPR) emails
- Notification emails
- Webhooks that haven’t already fired can be triggered on reprocessing
- Each submission is only reprocessed once and only if it was originally marked as spam
How It Works
When Inbox Reprocessing is enabled for a form:
- A submission is automatically marked as spam by Basin’s filters.
- You later move that submission from Spam → Inbox.
- Basin sends the submission through a security review to decide whether it should be treated as non-spam.
- If approved, Basin:
- Re-runs submission processing
- Fires any eligible webhooks that did not run previously
- Optionally sends notification, autoresponse, and/or confirmation emails based on your settings
Why Use Inbox Reprocessing?
False positives are inevitable with any spam system, but losing real leads doesn’t have to be:
- Safely recover good submissions that were misclassified as spam
- Ensure important webhooks and emails still run for rescued submissions
- Maintain strong spam filtering while giving your team a controlled recovery path
Note: Inbox Reprocessing is available on the Premium plan and above.
Ready to Turn It On?
Go to your form’s Mailer Settings → Inbox Reprocessing section to enable it and choose which emails should be resent during reprocessing.
